You will find details of the different brands we stock, their products, and the sizings for them, below. In addition, on each product page and in each description there should be details of the sizing.

We find that while all the sizings are accurate for average babies, it is worth bearing your own baby's physique in mind. For instance, a baby who is long and thin for their age may use a smaller nappy than one that is shorter and plumper, even though they may be the same weight. The best guide to this is where your baby is on their growth charts - substantially above the average in length, but on the 50th percentile for weight, for example, will mean your baby is fairly thin and could get away with wearing their smaller nappies longer.

Another thing to factor in is the fastening. As poppers are spaced at specific intervals, although the nappies are adjustable, it is to a finite point. Aplix, however, can be tightened or loosened as far as you need, and therefore a longer aplix strip will allow more adjustability. And with a nippa fastening, the only limit is the actual amount of cloth in the nappy - you can expand it or tighten it up as much as you need. For this reason, many size 2 nippas are sold as one-size (or birth to potty) nappies.

* We don't stock prefolds in bigger sizes as we find that they are not an effective nappy on older children, who are heavier wetters. We find that the prefolds simply don't have enough fabric to be absorbant enough for use by babies over 25lbs.

Pop-in nappies are birth-to-potty sized, and as they are all-in-one, there are no separate wraps.

*Tots Bots nappies in nippa and popper fastenings can be folded down at the front, and used as a smaller size. The popper nappies have a second row of poppers which will be revealed for use as a smaller fitting. When used like this, the size 1 will fit from 5-18lbs, and the size 2 from 10-35lbs, making the size two effectively a birth to potty nappy.

The Flexitot has recently been released as a version 2, with adjustable fasteners on the front to allow a smaller fit. In this way a size 1 will fit from 6 - 18lbs (a smaller fitting than the previous 8-18lbs) and the size 2 can be adjusted to fit from 10lbs up to potty training.
