Inside the pack

15x 4 x wraps - choice of colours or white 1x

All of our stock of Size 2 FlexiTots is now Version 2 - an even better nappy than the original FlexiTot. This nappy has a more robust bamboo velour,  the construction is better fitting, and as you'll see when you receive it, it has a row of poppers down the front to allow you to adjust the rise of the nappy - meaning you get a great range of fit throughout the time your baby wears the nappy, and can even fasten it down to turn it into a size 1 fit.

Each pack contains 15 nappies, 4 wraps, and 100 soft paper liners enough for all your nappy needs. Packed in a handy cotton drawstring bag (meaning there’s no packaging to throw away), these maxi packs offer an economical way to buy all your nappies at once.

Wrap choices* are 4 of a single colour or:

Boys: Sweetpea, Cherub, Sugarplum, Mucky pup, White

Girls: Sweetpea, Pumpkin, Poppet, Sugarplum

Unisex: Pumpkin, Poppet, Cherub, Mucky pup

Putting performance into nappies, so nothing gets out!

New version 2 nappies now in stock. These have poppers down the front to allow you to adjust the height of the nappies. In this way a size 1 will fit a newborn baby, and a size 2 will fit from 10 lbs to potty training.

Tots Bots have bundled together everything they know about textiles, nappies and babies, in this amazing new design. Activflex technology provides the optimum balance between absorbency, containment, fit and drying time.

The nappy has a unique multitextile core. It's the way in which these materials work together that make FlexiTot as thirsty as you'll ever need.

Bamboo velour
Whilst this is one of the softest, yummiest fabric we have ever seen it also provides an absorbency rate that is second to none (over 60% more absorbent than cotton fibre). It is also naturally antibacterial which is just perfect for nappies.

Microfibre
The layers of this fabric provide all the capacity needed whilst being incredibly quick drying (the fabric will hold twice as much liquid as cotton per gramme so you get all the absorbency you need without the bulk)

Technical outer skin
Usually only seen in sportswear and the like this material does amazing things for the performance of FlexiTot. It stays dry around baby's waist and helps keep wetness within the terry core whilst remaining completely breathable. NB. This is not a waterproof layer but resists penetration by wetness a wrap still needs to be worn over the top.

Because at some point all babies like to get up and groove, all the fabrics in the nappy have multi-directional stretch. This ensures a super comfy, glove like fit every time no matter what size/shape baby is. The nappy also has a trimmer design than a standard Tot and is far less bulky around the waist and hip area.
New Version 2 has a fold back inner - which means that you can pull it out to hang down during washing and drying. This allows for a more efficient wash and a much quicker drying time.
Easy to use Aplix fastening on super stretchy, stay dry waist tabs. The Aplix has also been curved to trim off any corners.

Once tried nothing else quite comes up to the mark.

The Tots wrap is really leakproof, and yet still breathable. It’s quick drying and has a double gussetted soft leg-binding which is gentle to even the most sensitive baby’s skin. Snug fitting with Aplix fastenings on crossover tabs, this wrap expands as your baby grows - giving a huge range of fit. Good for day and night use, it is one of our favourite wraps.

Great nappy, not had any leaks. The only reason I have rated a 4 is that I am lazy and like all in ones rather than having to use an outer too :oP

I bought these on the hope of being a super green father. However I have since read a 200page report by the environment agency (2008) that concludes that overall there is no significant difference between the environmental impacts of of real nappies vs disposable nappies.
I then worked out cost per wash is 58p in our AA Beko. Therefore over the life time of the nappies they work out slightly more expensive than disposables. I didn't factor in cost of drying. But if you're using a tumble dryer though then disposables work out much cheaper. (I'm a marine biologist - these things keep me awake at night, so I spent three evenings doing the sums!)

The nappies themselves:
+ves after 4 weeks the fit is OK, washing and drying only really adds 10 mins to the day, they are no more fiddly to fit than a disposable nappy, they take a day to dry (or 6 hrs on the washing line).

-ve they are much too big for our 3.2kg new born. They leave red marks on her skin. They are also very wet when you change them - they don't have the water absorbing gel of a disposable. They leak more than a huggies nappy. You're only going to get about 8 months use out of them before they are too small.

Overall I wouldn't bother again. They are fine if you want to be trendy. However they cost more overall and don't make any difference to the environment. If you want to be green use a bike more!

CleanGreenNappy says: I am sorry you aren't happy with the cost and the eco-friendliness of the nappies. Can I just check though, when you mention the cost per wash, do you mean per nappy or per load? We have a very comprehensive breakdown of the costs on our website which show that they are around 1000 cheaper than using disposables, and more if you pass them on to siblings. You can see the cost comparison here: http://www.cleangreennappy.co.uk/blog/cost_comparison.pdf

In terms of environmental difference, the 2008 report concluded that real nappies are abour 40% better if washed according to guidelines, and that if parents use eco-friendly laundry methods, this would increase. It was only if parents laundered at higher temperatures, tumble dried, and did not re-use nappies between siblings, that there was no difference. Again, you can see full details here: http://blog.cleangreennappy.co.uk/?p=24

These are great. I'm currently using them overnight - with an extra cotton or bamboo booster - for my 3.5 month old as they're a bit too bulky for daytime wear until he's a bit bigger (I've got size 2). I use medium motherease airflow wraps over the top which're perfect for the bulkiness. Once he's older, I'm going to buy a few more of these for daytime use, along probably with some size 2 totsbots stretchies (because I love them) and possibly some size 2 bambinex teddies for their ability to dry quickly. Flexitots dry a bit quicker than the stretchies, are really absorbant, fit very well, and haven't leaked any explosive newborn poos!

I'm very pleased with these nappies so far. I've been using them on my 2 year old at night (he's just potty trained, so no need for them during the day). He's a very heavy wetter and they have leaked slightly a couple of times but nowhere near as badly as our old motherease did. They dry more quickly than I thought they would, although the bamboo insert needs to go into the airing cupboard to speed up the process - line drying them inside takes as long as the motherease (approx 24 hours). Most importantly, my son hasn't woken up with a bright red, very sore bottom, so they seem to be good for his skin. They do look bulky on him but in a different way from the motherease - the bulk is all in the front and between his legs rather than behind and to the sides. All in, these seem to be really good nappies and I'd recommend them for babies with very sensitive skin.

These work OK, but are not my favourite. I find they leak sometimes on my baby and they are not particularly absorbent. They do dry quickly, though.

We really love these nappies! We used the size 1 flexitot and when our son grew out of them, we did a trial of many different options, but decided to go back for the size 2 flexitot over anything else. I like the way they unfold themselves in the wash so no need to take them apart yourself when soiled. They are also very quick and easy to fold back for use, no faffing or combining different components necessary. The size 2 is incredibly absorbent, easily goes through the night on our 6 month-old without extra boosters. During the day I find them completely reliable and leak-proof, much better with a separate wrap than all-in-ones. They dry in 24 hours on an airer. If using the size 1 from birth I would advise that you will need size 0 wraps. If not using from birth, the size 2 will probably be all you need (with sized wraps) as it poppers down quite small. I recommend the flexitot and this maxipack is really good value.

This is a really nice nappy, and I'm going to get some size 2's as well. I think it needs an extra booster as the sewn in one isn't all that absorbant. It is easy to use, the velcro tabs make it possible to get a nice snug fit, and you can fold them back for washing. It dries pretty quickly and has a lovely soft feel fabric on the inside. I use it with my Motherease wraps.

Fit nicely on our 9 week old baby and hold a good amount of wee. Great as a night time nappy. We have one of the original flexitots that we used on our eldest and feel that the changes to the design are definitely an improvement.

ADDIT: 6 weeks on and she's now sleeping 7-7 in one nappy but unfortunately we've found that we have woken up to a wet baby and bedding 3 days running and have had to resort to disposables overnight whilst we sort out an alternative night time nappy. Really disappointed about that as they were such good nappies. Nice and slim for daytime use though.

Very effective and well thought through nappy design, looks stylish too - as far as nappies can. The bamboo does mean drying takes a while but better than the old cotton design. This size is rather long for my 16lb baby. The poppers help but make a lot of bulk at the front which isn't overly fetching however the fit will become less of an issue as she grows into them properly. Is quite a bit less bulky than the microfibre only ones.
