TotsBots continue to show their commitment to excellence by bringing out the V2 of this lovely one-size, all-in-one nappy.

Improvements in this new version make it even more leakproof, and include:

  • The outer fabric is much softer and stretchier than before which makes the nappy more flexible, a better fit and lovely to the touch.
  • The outer PUL is also much more water resistant – pour a little water on the outside and watch it run off!
  • The anti-wicking fabric surrounding the core has also been improved meaning there is less risks of leaks out the side of the nappy.
  • The core of the nappy is now made from the new stretchy bamboo giving the same super fast absorption rate but with a super soft finish and low pile which prevents poo sticking!
  • The pull-out core is now backed with micro-fibre terry which has 50% more volume capacity than bamboo. Thanks to this small change the nappy no longer needs the additional booster meaning the nappy will be slimmer fitting. (The teenyfit will still have an additional booster as with such a tiny little nappy, it still needs the extra fabric in there). The Easyfit B2P pack will contain an extra 4 boosters for night-time or heavy wetters.
  • Available in white as well as our fab new prints; Flower Power, Cherrylicious, Mushroom Magic, Tuttifruiti, Starburst and Cosmic.

It's unusual to see a great perfoming all-in-one, or a true one-size nappy, so to see an all-in-one one-size which performs in terms of absorbancy and fit, and which is easy-to-use, got us all very excited!

The thought that's gone into this nappy makes it one of the only all-in-ones that we've ever rated. One of the traditional problems with all-in-ones is that the seam where the fabric meets the wrap element can often "roll  out" to allow the fabric to peep out. As soon as it comes into contact with any other fabric, water wicks out onto the other fabric, leading to wet clothes and bed clothes. Tots Bots have overcome this problem my creating a neat strip of fabric which is fastened well within the wrap. It is an inch away from the edge down the sides of the nappy, and just over that at the top of the front and back. This means the wrap will sit comfortably around the fabric, ensuring no leaks.  Elastication at the back and sides of the nappy also ensure a secure fit.

Tots Bots all in one - the ins and outs

Please not that the pictures of the open nappy on this page show the V1, which have a slightly different inner.

The construction of the inner continues this ingenious design. The fabric tongue is doubled up, with bamboo on one side, and microfibre on the other. This means the microfibre, which is a wicking fabric, will allow the moisture to move through the bamboo, leaving a nice, dry bum. The other advantages of this are several. Firstly, when all tucked in, the whole thing has several layers of fabric in a very neat strip - meaning less bulk for your baby. Secondly, when washing the whole thing unfolds, meaning the nappy is more thoroughly cleansed than with many traditional all-in-ones or pocket nappies, where the fabric doesn't unfold in the wash. Finally, the fact that it folds out means that it will dry much quicker too.

How the inner fabric works

The outer has a choice of fabrics - from the white material from which the flexiwrap is made, to the lovely new 2010 prints. The inner comes in a mix of bamboo and microfibre - the same great combination which has made the Flexitot such a success in the real nappy market. Bamboo - which is a silky soft naturally antibacterial and antifungal material. As it has such a quick growth cycle, bamboo is also a great choice for the truly environmentally conscious purchaser. It is slimline and really absorbant. This microterry has more than twice the absorbancy of a cotton terry, and is also beautifully soft to the touch. It is super-fast drying too. The use of these two fabrics together means that only half of each is used, helping to improve their two major setbacks - microfibre is generally bulky, but when used in conjunction with bamboo, is much less so.  And bamboo takes a longer time to dry, but the combination fabric is quicker.

As an all-in-one, this nappy integrates the absorbant fabric and the waterproof outer into one simple piece. Its all-in-one qualities make it a great nappy for anyone unsure about switching to real nappies - all of those people who look at the nappies, wraps, liners, boosters, fasteners etc, and think that it's all a bit too much for them. This also means that child-minders and nurseries as well as reluctant in-laws will be more easily persuaded to come to your way of thinking - with one piece, there's no extra work as compared to putting on a disposable, so fewer excuses not to use reusables!  It's also great for being out and about, as changing is simpler and there are fewer pieces to carry around with you.

As a one-size, it grows with your baby and should fit most babies from birth to potty. Although it may be a little bulky on new borns, the one nappy should see you all the way through, which means that both choosing and paying for your nappies is a simpler affair.  Compared with Size 1 and 2 nappies and wraps, which would cost you roughly £40 for all 4 pieces, this nappy costs £16.75, and is often even lower with the promotions we run. The downside is that they will get used a lot more so may not last to a second child, but even accounting for this, the cost per usage is much lower.

Fit: Very neat, not bulky even with a booster.
Absorbency: I have been using with a booster and folding the insert over a third as I have a boy. Not had any leaks at all.
Look: They look fantastic! The prints are brilliant. Have had a few comments from people about my boys nice pants.
Washing: The laundry tabs are a great idea. They wash well.
Drying: They do take a little while to dry but all bamboo does.

I would recommend these to anyone. They are perhaps a little pricy to have as a complete nappy system.

Excellent - love these! I started using them when my newborn was about 9lb and they fit well on the smallest fitting. Have been using them for a few weeks now and have only had a few leaks - can normally last 3-4 hours between changes. They do need boosting for night but as he's still feeding through the night he's changed then as well so don't yet know the maximum time they'll last. They don't have a stay-dry layer so I use fleece liners which keep his bottom lovely and dry. The colours are great and they look so comfy on. Would definitely recommend these - they are as easy to use as disposables but so much nicer!

Although I had always intended on using the Tots Bots v2 all in one nappies I did get a bit confused by the choice of reusables available now. Thankfully I stuck to my original plan and was very excited to receive my parcel (postman thought I was crazy getting so excited over nappies). I have to say, it was a relief to use them, no more stinky disposables filling my bin and my daughter has the best dressed bum around. I love the funky patterns and how soft they are but most of all I love the clever design meaning easy drying and adjustable sizing. I have since converted others who thought they would never use reusables.

This nappy is fantastic. I have found other one-size nappies to be not so well fitting. But the Easyfit has a nice stretch to it that means you can get a good fit around the waist and legs simultaneously. The aplix is really strong and the big tabs are easy to handle. Good absorbency - mine has only been washed a few times so far but can handle 3 hours on my heavy wetter. Washes well, no stains, no fraying. Obviously the bamboo inner dries slower than cotton nappies but it's usually dry in 24 hours. My favourite so far!

I bought 2 easyfits to see how we liked real nappies prior to purchasing a full set. I love them! Am just about to place an order for more!

Very happy, easy to fit, looks cute and works really well. Just takes a little longer to dry than a pocket nappy but worth it I think.

These nappies did not work for me as a birth to potty nappy. I found that pre-weaning they leaked every time my baby pooed. I have, however, used them a lot post-weaning. They are not the most reliable AIO/pocket nappy out there, and I personally find they need boosting as they get saturated in about 2 hours otherwise (I'm not a fan of changing nappies every 2 hours!) But with a bamboo booster in place, they work very well.

These gorgeous all-in-ones are fab, so easy to use and are really soft. My daughter is currently 15lbs, 3-4months old. I haven't used them at night, on the smallest setting or with a booster. But what I've found is; they take approx 24hrs to dry on an airer indoors with no heating on, they leaked slightly around the leg when in the second to smallest size (this wasn't enough to put me off using them and buying more as I found disposables to leak in the same place) now in the biggest leg setting they hardly ever leak however, they are never on for longer than 4 hours. Since learning to fold the insert twice (video clip on tot bots website) I believe improved their absorbency and is why I haven't required boosters yet. All in all I definately recommend. Tots bots seem to have thought about everything even the velcro can fold in on itself so it doesn't stick to everything in the wash!
